       Clear thinking is a learned skill and the courses in Logic are designed to help students overcome some of the barriers to truth.

LR201 Logical Reasoning and Research
3 units

       A course designed to teach the student how to think logically, how to do research, how to avoid logical fallacies, how to recognize faulty research and how to recognize urban legends. The class will help the student avoid falling victim to scams, wishful thinking, and other errors.

LR301 Introduction to Philosophy
3 units

       An introduction to the major philosophers and philosophical systems.

LR401 Ethics
3 units

       An introduction to the study of ethics, comparative ethics, and ethical problems.
