Quartz Hill Journal of Theology Contributors
Dandi Moyers

Dandi Moyers practices Kung Fu, works part time, and is a mother and wife all the time. As a student, she has taken classes in literature at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California, and in Bible, Theology and Hebrew at Quartz Hill School of Theology in Quartz Hill, California. She has contributed several articles and poems to the Quartz Hill Journal of Theology and has an abiding interest in finding the truth, no matter where it might lead. She also edits the novels of R.P. Nettelhorst.
She is married to Dennis Moyers, an IT professional. Together, they are active in a small start-up church. They have two children, a girl named Kaila and a boy named Keaton. Two friendly dogs share their house with them in Colorado.

R.P. Nettelhorst

The editor of Quartz Hill Journal of Theology and Academic Vice President of Quartz Hill School of Theology. He also serves as the School's Professor of Bible and Biblical Languages.
He has several published science fiction short stories to his credit (see The Locus Index: Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror). His first published novel, What Dreamers Be These Rocks - Tableland Trilogy: Book One, is now available. He is a graduate of Los Angeles Baptist College with a B.A. (Summa Cum Laude) in history and a minor in Bible; he has a M.A. in Semitic Languages from UCLA (in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures) where he has completed the course work for a Ph.D. in the same subject.
He has published articles in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society and Biblical Research Monthly. He is listed in Who's Who in Religion and Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. He is married to Ruth Nettelhorst (a third grade teacher at Nancy Cory Elementary School). They have three children, all daughters: an nine year old in fourth grade named Vanessa, a six year old named Nichole (who goes by the name "Toni") in first grade, and a six year old named Brittany in kindergarten. An assortment of tropical fish, two cats, and a Golden Retriever allow them to share their house in Southern California.

Don Patterson

Don Patterson is the Senior Pastor of Quartz Hill Community Church and President of Quartz Hill School of Theology. He has pastored and ministered to churches in California and Arkansas for the past twenty-two years. He holds a BA from California Baptist University in Riverside and an MDiv from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California. Cartooning, novel writing, and back road "exploring" take up his precious moments of free time. For the past eight years he has lived in Quartz Hill with his wife Karen, an elementary teacher at Desert Christian School, and two typically rambunctious teenage sons.

Jim West

I have enjoyed two decades of study and teaching related to the Bible, its history and its composition and contents. Besides being immersed in the Gospel texts, I have investigated the history of early Christianity, its roots in Judaism and the various influences in the ancient world that shaped it. Over the course of my studies, I have acquired the Biblical languages of Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic as well as modern languages, French and German, necessary to study the scholarly literature in the field.
In addition to my responsibilities as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Petros, in Tennessee, I am the Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at the Quartz Hill School of Theology. I have penned abstracts, book reviews, articles and dictionary entries on a wide range of Biblical studies, participate actively in the Society of Biblical Literature and the Catholic Biblical Association, and am a member of the famed -- or infamous, depending on one’s perspective -- Jesus Seminar.

I also maintain this web site, "Biblical Studies Resources," at http://web.infoave.net/~jwest/.
